Remembering Chloe: A Life of Joy, Love, and Laughter
At Has2bHappy, our values aren’t written in a handbook—they live in the people who inspire us every day. And no one has inspired us more deeply than Chloe.
Chloe wasn’t just the beloved daughter of our founders, Simon and Jill—she was a young woman full of life, full of light, and full of love. When she passed away in December 2022, she left a space that will never be filled, but also a legacy that continues to guide and strengthen us in everything we do.
A Beautiful Soul with a Spark of Mischief
Chloe had the most gentle presence—soft-spoken, with an easy smile that made you feel instantly safe and welcomed. But she also had a cheeky sense of humour. A sparkle in her eye. A quiet defiance that said, “Don’t underestimate me.” And she was right.
She loved to laugh—and her laugh was infectious. She loved music, especially songs that stirred something in the heart. She adored her family, her routines, and the people who truly knew her. But most of all, she loved being seen, heard, and included. And isn’t that what we all want?
Cherised moments
Chloe also had a deeply peaceful presence. She cherished sitting quietly with the people she loved and trusted, simply enjoying the moment without needing anything more. Some of her happiest times were spent driving in the car with her favourite music playing, or travelling on boats and trains—journeys that brought her a real sense of freedom and wonder. Chloe especially loved being with her little sister, Lucy. Their bond was gentle and close, full of affection and comfort. For Chloe, family was everything—a source of strength, love, and joy that gave meaning to her days.
Chloe reminds us that happiness isn’t found in complexity—it’s found in the small, everyday moments. A favourite song. A walk in the sun. A shared joke. A hug. Chloe taught everyone around her how to slow down, to appreciate the now, and to love without hesitation.
Chloe’s Legacy at Has2bHappy
Chloe was one of the shining lights behind the creation of Has2bHappy. Her journey, and the love and learning that came from supporting her, were the seeds of our mission to build a world where people with learning disabilities are not just cared for—they are cherished, celebrated, and truly seen.
Every smile we see in the people we support. Every moment of progress. Every burst of laughter. Chloe is there, quietly woven into the heart of it all.
Continuing in Her Footsteps
Though Chloe is no longer with us in body, her light guides us forward. Her story continues through the work we do, the lives we touch, and the happiness we strive to create each day.
