Some days leave a gentle imprint on the heart, and our recent trip to the RSPB Nature Reserve at Leighton Moss in Silverdale was one of them.
With the summer sun wrapping us in a soft warmth, most of the Has2Bhappy community joined together for a day of nature, laughter, and love. From the very start, there was a feeling of calm excitement in the air—a quiet joy that built as we set off to explore the peaceful beauty all around us.
Wandering with Wonder
We meandered along shaded woodland paths, across wooden walkways, and around glittering ponds, stopping often to smile, point, or simply breathe it all in. The reserve’s many hides gave us windows into a world of wildlife—places where time slowed down, and every rustle in the reeds held a little thrill.
Laughter was our soundtrack, echoing softly between the trees as we ambled from one path to another, chatting, pausing, spotting, and smiling. It felt like everyone was exactly where they needed to be.
A Picnic with a View
We gathered together for a relaxed lunch in the picnic area, sharing food and stories, shaded by trees and surrounded by birdsong. There was something special in the simplicity—a peaceful pause, a chance to just be together.
Moments of Magic
The day had its share of unforgettable moments:
🦌 Prancing deer, spotted from the main hide, their graceful movement leaving us in awe.
🌳 The viewing tower, offering stunning views of the reserve, where the world looked wide and wonderful.
🐦 A very special robin, who fluttered close and seemed to say hello—reminding us all of our dear Chloe, and filling hearts with quiet warmth.
For many in our group, it was the first time using binoculars—a new adventure that brought big smiles and lots of eager peeking through the lenses. It was pure joy to see eyes light up as birds, butterflies, and distant deer came into view.
More Than a Visit
This wasn’t just a day out—it was a gentle, happy gathering filled with connection and curiosity. We learned, we laughed, we explored, and above all, we felt together.
